1. Short Title
(a) This bill shall be referred to as the "Economic Integrity Act".
(b) This bill was authored by Lysander Lyon.
2. Trade Controls
(a) Parliament may pass, adjust, and repeal export and import controls by resolution.
(i) Trade control resolutions shall be subject to the same debate and voting procedures as normal legislation.
(ii) Trade control resolutions shall not need the assent of the Crown to be enacted, only the approval of the majority of votes cast on the resolution.
(b) Trade control resolutions should target specific blocks, nations, categories, or technologies, or specific nations.
(i) For example, a resolution could ban all trade with a foreign nation, all trade of a specific block with a foreign nation, or all trade of a specific block to any foreign nation.
(c) The Ministry of Economic Affairs shall manage the list of nations and blocks under export or import control.
(i) The Ministry of State shall have a secondary management duty, such that the Ministry of Economic Affairs may delegate this management if the MEA needs assistance.
Enactment: This Act comes into force immediately upon passage.
