Parliamentary Vacancy Act
Preamble: In the hopes of avoiding another Constitutional crisis, this Act will outline proper procedures to be followed to fill Parliamentary vacancies.

1. Short Title
(a) This bill shall be referred to as the "Parliamentary Vacancy Act".
(b) This bill was authored by Aero Nox.

2. Vacancy Due to Resignation
(a) If a Parliamentary vacancy is the result of a resignation, a by-election will be called no earlier than 48 hours and no later than 72 hours after the resignation takes effect.

3. Vacancy Due to Removal
(a) If a Parliamentary vacancy is the result of a removal, by voters or the Judiciary, a by-election will be called no earlier than 24 hours and no later than 48 hours after the removal takes effect.

4. Vacancy Due to Death
(a) If a Parliamentary vacancy is the result of a death, Parliament will enter a period of mourning for a period of 48 hours. A by-election will be called within 24 hours of the end of the mourning period.

5. Exceptions
(a) All by-elections for Parliament, which would begin during the final two weeks of the scheduled Parliamentary term, shall not be held, in favor of the upcoming General Election.
(b) Dissolution of Parliament cancels all scheduled or ongoing by-elections, in favor of the upcoming General Election.

Enactment: This Act comes into force immediately upon passage.

Parliamentary Vacancy Amendment Act
Preamble: Events near the end of the 11th Parliament have shown that there is a legislative oversight that might cause (near-)pointless By-Elections to be held, whose elected MP would only serve in Parliament for a few days at most. This bill aims to prevent By-Elections from being initiated when Dissolution of Parliament is imminent.
