Type: Act of Parliament
Preamble: Large swathes of our city are being held hostage by individuals who do not participate in Azalean life.
1. New Eviction Procedure
(a) Once a week, a MUD employee will be charged with updating the plot register and checking the playtime of property owners.
(b) After 20 days have passed since a player was last online, a report will be filed and a warning will be sent to the property owner.
(c) Once this report is opened, they must achieve a total of 5 hours of playtime after rejoining in order to retain ownership of their plots.
(i) This will be checked in the 30th day, so any playtime gathered before the inactive period will not count towards the final total.
(ii) If the owner hits the playtime requirements, the report will be closed.
(Iii) Should the owner not log in during this report period, the Death Act will be enacted on all the individuals assets.
(iv) Should the owner log in during this period but they fail to hit the 5 hour requirement, the land will enter a 14-day escrow where third parties can raise any legal or contractual interest in the ownership of the plots. If no claims are raised, the plots will be vaulted and put on sale.
2. Leave of Absence
(a) Players who have a valid Leave of Absence from the Ministry of Social Services are protected from eviction as defined in the Death Act.
Enactment: This Act comes into force immediately upon passage.
