Expressions of Interest - Chief Technical Officer​

The Ministry of Urban Development is looking for open-interest submissions to the role of Chief Technical Officer. Please be advised that this is not an application, but a way to allow people to indicate that they would like to be considered for the role.

The Chief Technical Officer will be working directly with the Minister and will not be based within either of the MUD departments.

Expectations for the Chief Technical Officer

• Deputy Ministers are expected to:
  • Remain consistently active through their tenure where possible.
  • Manage employees in their purview and collaborate with the Minister in regards to hiring and firing.
  • Be accountable to members of the public and the government.

Responsibilities of the Chief Technical Officer

• It is expected that the Chief Technical Officer will:
  • Take ownership of managing the Discord
  • Oversee the creation and operation of staff tools and resources to improve the ability of MUD staff to complete their role, and coordinate with other Ministries to avoid duplication of work and discuss improvements (Discord Bots, MUD Costing Sheet, etc.)
