Preamble:
This bill creates designated Scenic & Creative Plots (S-Plots) within Azalea Isles to improve the visual identity of the city and promote player creativity. Based on player behavior and engagement patterns, it is clear that players are most active when they can socialize, build, explore, and express creativity. This bill supports those priorities by introducing structured creative zones, encouraging artistic development, and allowing themed gift shops that enhance immersion and community value. Voting for this bill will help transform Azalea Isles into a more beautiful, engaging, and player-driven world.
1. Short Title
(a) This bill is to be called the Make It Pretty Act.
2. Purpose
(a) This bill establishes designated Scenic & Creative Plots (S-Plots) within Azalea.
(i) The purpose of S-Plots is to enhance the visual beauty of the city.
(ii) To encourage player-driven artistic expression.
(iii) To create immersive and aesthetically rich areas that improve the overall server atmosphere.
(iv) To support creativity, exploration, and long-term player engagement.
3. Establishment of S-Plots
(a) MUD and MEC shall designate specific areas as S-Plot Zones.
(i) These zones are reserved exclusively for:

(a) Players may apply for an S-Plot through a simple approval process.
(i) S-Plots shall be granted based on:
5. Gift Shops and Collectables
(a) Gift shops are permitted within S-Plots.
(i) Gift shops must be thematically related to the S-Plot or surrounding district.
(ii) Shops may sell or display collectables, souvenirs, and decorative items inspired by the build or theme.
(iii) Gift shops must enhance storytelling, identity, and cultural value.
(iv) Gift shops must not function as major commercial or economy-focused enterprises.
6. Usage Restrictions
(a) To preserve the artistic purpose of S-Plots, the following are prohibited:
(i) Industrial farming or resource grinding operations
(ii) Large-scale economy farms
(iii) Unrelated commercial hubs or mass-production builds
(b) All constructions must prioritize creativity, immersion, and visual appeal.
7. Public Showcase Incentive
(a) Completed S-Plots may be:
(i) Featured in official city tours or exploration routes
(ii) Highlighted during server-wide events or showcases
(iii) Used by MEC for events and showcase purposes
8. Maintenance of Aesthetic Standards
(a) S-Plots shall be inspected by MUD to ensure standards are upheld. (Remember Art is subjective)
(i) Inspections shall review alignment with scenic and creative goals.
(ii) Feedback may be provided to maintain visual and thematic quality.
(iii) Only build-related items may be sold within S-Plots.
(b) Enforcement and Violations
(i) Any violation of the terms, conditions, or standards outlined for S-Plots shall result in the immediate removal of S-Plot status.
(ii) Upon removal, the plot will no longer be recognized as an official S-Plot and will lose all associated privileges.
(iii) Players may re-apply for S-Plot status through the standard application process after addressing all violations and meeting required standards.
(c) Ownership and Inspection Agreement
(i) By owning and operating an S-Plot, the player agrees to periodic inspections conducted by MUD.
(ii) S-Plots are considered privately owned builds that serve a public purpose and are therefore subject to oversight.
(iii) Inspections are conducted to ensure compliance with aesthetic, thematic, and operational standards outlined in this Act.
Enactment: This Act comes into force immediately upon passage.
