TO
Establish Weapons Law in Certain National Buildings​
Preamble: This bill establishes certain national buildings as weapons free zones, allowing safer places for our citizens.

1. Short Title and Enactment
(a) This act shall be called the National Building Safety Act
(b) This bill was authored by Phoenix Flamesong

2. Nationally Protected Buildings
(a) Nationally protected buildings are:
(i) Any police station, including the main police HQ and district outposts
(ii) Any hospital, and any other nationally owned medical facilities.
(iii) The University
(iv) The Courthouse
(v) The Ministry Building
(vi) Parliament
(vii) The Airport

3. Weapons in Nationally Protected Buildings
(a) Weapons, although allowed in peoples inventory, are not to be displayed.
(i) Weapons include swords, crossbows, bows, tasers, spears, guns, and tridents.
(b) Police are exempt from this, as long as weapons are being used for protection use only.
(c) If a weapon is used in a nationally protected building, they will gain an additional charge on top of whatever charge they would get for that crime.

4. Amendment
(a) Section 4, subsection h of the New Criminal Code Act shall be amended as follows:
(i) (i) Offense Type: Misdemeanor
(ii) Penalty: $100 fine
(iii) A person commits an offense if the person:
(1) points, or threatens the use of a weapon in a public or non-consensual setting, without lawful justification or self-defense.


(ii) (i) Offense Type: Misdemeanor
(ii) Penalty: $100 fine
(iii) A person commits an offense if the person:
(1) points, or threatens the use of a weapon in a public or non-consensual setting, without lawful justification or self-defense; or
(2) Displays a weapon in a nationally protected building


(b) Section 4 of the New Criminal Code act shall be added to as follows:
(m) Prohibited Weapons Use
(i) Offense Type: Misdemeanor
(ii) Penalty: 5 minutes of jail time, $200 fine
(iii) A person commits an offense if the person:
(1) uses a weapon in a nationally protected building




Enactment: This Act comes into force immediately upon passage
