Regalis

Overview: Regalis is a large, long-standing nation led by Queen Eleanora the Peacemaker. This country boasts some of the earliest signs of human life documented in the world, and its civilization also has one of the longest continuous histories. In the present, Regalis is a constitutional monarchy with a focus on tradition and culture.

map of regalis

Trade: Regalis primarily exports a variety of meticulously crafted items ranging from breathtaking jewelry to unforgiving weaponry. The majority of their exports are items that often require great attention to detail which makes them such valuable products. None can compare to the patience and steadiness of hand achieved by the country's craftsmen.

In regards to imports, the nation primarily purchases gasoline and animal meat and pelts. With taking such pride in their past, the nation has long since limited activities that harm its forests and their inhabitants. Therefore, they rely on other countries to supply these goods.

History:

The origins of Regalis' true existence remain shrouded in mystery, with no definitive record pinpointing a specific people or time period. However, archaeological evidence suggests that signs of civilization in the land now occupied by the nation date back to humanity's earliest emergence within the world.

The time before Regalis' founding marks a pivotal moment in human history, tracing back to one of the earliest demonstrations of communal cohesion. In a landscape fraught with challenges, a group of disparate individuals banded together, pooling their resources and skills to build multiple shelters and ensure their collective survival. Through mutual cooperation and resilience, they forged bonds that laid the foundation for what would eventually become the nation of Regalis.

However, as populations grew and resources became more scarce, tensions inevitably arose, leading to conflicts that fractured the once-unified community. This tumultuous period gave rise to the establishment of five distinct towns within the region, each governed by its own leaders and driven by its own aspirations. Despite the initial discord, these towns would later converge to form the nucleus of Regalis nearly a century later, a testament to the enduring spirit of unity and resilience that defines the nation's character.

The official establishment of Regalis as a nation occurred in 1245 with the drafting and signing of the Havenholt Constitution. This pivotal document was a culmination of efforts by leaders from five nearby towns, who now sought to forge a larger, more cohesive civilization. Originally known as Havenholt, the nation was later renamed Regalis in 1683. The five founding leaders—Heinrich Pequet of Millwood, Joseph Seid of Tal Verrar, Dwight Locke of Camorr, Faite Viator of Balinel, and William Carr of Toledo—played instrumental roles in shaping Regalis' early history. Notably, the towns' names are attributed to their founding members rather than any established linguistic origins, according to philologists.

During the Havenholt era, the nation achieved remarkable strides in agricultural innovation, revolutionizing crop production to meet the needs of its burgeoning population. The resulting surplus of food not only sustained Havenholt's own people but also beckoned outsiders to its fertile lands. Among these newcomers were the inexplicable Forest People (also referenced to as "Waldvolk," so named for their mysterious origins and unfamiliar language, communicating only through primal sounds). The arrival of the Forest People sparked the genesis of one of the earliest religions, centered around the belief that the forest bestowed upon humanity its "First Birth." This ideology gave rise to the sacred tradition of burial, symbolizing the return of individuals to the earth in the hopes of a spiritual rebirth, akin to the sprouting of a seed in fertile soil.

In addition to the Forest People, other newcomers arrived with their own languages and distinct customs, opening Havenholt's eyes to the vastness of the world beyond its borders. These encounters led to the discovery of distant continents and cultures, igniting a thirst for exploration and expansion. With newfound knowledge and ambition, Havenholt embarked on the monumental task of constructing seaworthy vessels, a feat fraught with challenges and dangers. Through perseverance and ingenuity, the nation triumphed over adversity, and its intrepid explorers set sail upon the open waters. Thus began Havenholt's imperialistic era, characterized by a quest for dominance and discovery as its ships ventured forth into uncharted territories, laying the groundwork for Regalis' emergence as a formidable maritime power.

In the decade following the inception of shipbuilding, maritime technology underwent rapid evolution, propelling Havenholt into an era of unprecedented expansion. Voyages across vast oceans led to the establishment of thriving colonies on nearby continents and islands, among them being a territory that would later be known as COUNTRYNAME.

As explorers charted uninhabited lands, they embarked on the monumental task of mapping the ever-expanding world. These early cartographers painstakingly documented geographical features, trade routes, and newfound territories, laying the groundwork for future navigators and adventurers.

Yet, despite these monumental achievements, the leaders of Havenholt remained keenly aware of the vastness of the world beyond their shores and of those which they had colonized. With each discovery came the realization that their reach had not extended far enough to fully exploit the wealth of resources that lay beyond. Driven by a desire for greater prosperity and influence, Havenholt's leaders resolved to push the boundaries of exploration even further, setting their sights on the uncharted territories and untapped riches beyond the horizon. This led to the initiation of the Expansion Expedition.

The Expansion Expedition stood as a monumental endeavor, conceived in the ambitious halls of Havenholt's strategists and visionaries. Initially comprised of 10 sturdy vessels, each manned by approximately 12 souls, the expedition was destined to etch new frontiers into the tapestry of the known world. Yet, clandestine affairs swirled within the ranks, with some crew members ferrying their families aboard, skewing the expedition's true count and weaving familial bonds amidst the maritime venture.

With a grand design, reminiscent of a celestial compass, the expedition's fleet charted its course in four cardinal directions, dispersing from the harbor of Havenholt with a shared mission to unveil the secrets of the shores that lay beyond. Three ships ventured North, three South, while two each embarked West and East, their prows slicing through uncharted waters in pursuit of discovery.

Their charge was not merely one of ephemeral exploration; it was a sacred duty to document, to map, to comprehend the contours of newfound lands. Armed with quills, compasses, and unyielding resolve, the expeditionaries wove their narratives upon the blank canvas of the unknown, meticulously chronicling their encounters, cataloging flora, fauna, and indigenous cultures, and erecting rudimentary settlements upon foreign shores.

The return of the expedition was a tale of both triumph and tragedy, for while six ships steered back to Havenholt's embrace, four others met a somber fate, their hulls dashed against unforgiving reefs, swallowed by the relentless maw of the sea. Among the lost, only the crew of Aurora's Grace was found with the ship's members still alive many years after the expedition concluded. Yet, from the crucible of adversity, Havenholt emerged reborn, embracing the bounty brought forth by the intrepid voyagers. The spoils of discovery enriched the nation's coffers with exotic fruits, verdant crops, and untold resources, propelling Havenholt into the embrace of industrialism and expansion. New colonies flourished upon the terra firma discovered, extending Havenholt's reach across the vast expanse.

However, beneath the veneer of progress lurked shadows of discord, for the expedition unveiled not only uncharted lands but also the existence of rival civilizations. Havens of humanity, disparate yet organized, dotted the map, casting an ominous pall over Havenholt's burgeoning empire. The emergence of Drakova, borne from the diaspora of Havenholt's exiles, heralded a new era of confrontation.

In the crucible of conflict, Drakova rose as a formidable adversary, leveraging Havenholt's own advancements against them. The exiled forged their own destiny, assimilating Havenholt's innovations to fuel their expansionist ambitions. Ambushes and subterfuge punctuated the uneasy peace, as Havenholt's colonies fell prey to Drakovic aggression, severing vital arteries of resources and commerce from the country and enabling Drakova to continue their tyranny.

The Havenholt-Drakova Conflict hovered on the precipice of war, a precarious balance maintained by tenuous diplomacy and sporadic skirmishes. Yet, the harbinger of calamity manifested in the form of a single gunshot, echoing across the hallowed halls of Havenholt's governance.

The assassination of President William Maud, perpetrated by a lone gunman of Drakovic descent, ignited the dormant embers of enmity into a raging inferno. With the blood of their leader staining the annals of history, Havenholt stood at the brink of irrevocable change, as the echoes of the past reverberated into an uncertain future.

In the wake of President Maud's assassination and the escalating tensions with Drakova, Havenholt found itself at a crossroads of existential significance. The reverberations of the tragic event echoed through the corridors of power, catalyzing a profound reevaluation of the nation's identity, policies, and governance.

Foremost among the shifts was a radical departure in foreign policy, as Havenholt retreated into a fortress of solitude, shrouded by the cloak of extreme isolationism. This retreat extended not only to the mainland but also seeped into the sinews of its colonial outposts, casting a pall of suspicion and apprehension over once-thriving settlements. The decision to fortify borders and bolster military might was not merely a reactionary response but a strategic necessity, born of the imperatives of self-preservation and deterrence against potential adversaries.

As the specter of conflict loomed ominously, the halls of governance echoed with the murmurs of change. The traditional paradigm of executive authority underwent a seismic shift as Havenholt embarked on a journey towards constitutional monarchy. The vestiges of absolute rule yielded to the primacy of constitutional principles, heralding a new era of governance characterized by checks and balances, parliamentary oversight, and the rule of law.

However, amidst the tumultuous currents of transformation, one change stood as a beacon of identity reshaped: the renaming of Havenholt to Regalis. This symbolic gesture encapsulated the nation's metamorphosis, shedding the vestiges of its past and embracing a future forged in the crucible of adversity. The appellation 'Regalis' evoked notions of sovereignty, nobility, and resilience, reflecting the country's aspirations to reclaim its rightful place among the pantheon of nations.

Central to this epochal transition was the seminal document known as "The Havenholt Peace." Crafted with meticulous precision and imbued with the collective wisdom of statesmen and scholars, this manifesto served as both a blueprint for reform and a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. Within its pages lay the contours of a new social contract, forged in the crucible of conflict, and consecrated by the blood of martyrs.

The Havenholt Peace was not merely a compendium of legislative edicts but a living testament to the values of unity, tolerance, and solidarity. Its precepts resonated across the breadth of society, binding citizens in a covenant of mutual obligation and shared destiny. Through its provisions, the nation charted a course towards reconciliation, reconstruction, and renewal, ushering in an era of unprecedented social cohesion and national unity.

Following the epochal treaty known as The Havenholt Peace, the phoenix of Regalis rose from the ashes of conflict, heralding the dawn of a new era under the reign of Queen Johanna Levinson. As the mantle of leadership passed from the old guard to the new, the selection of Queen Levinson carried with it the weight of history and lineage, tracing its roots back to the venerable Joseph Seid, one of the esteemed signatories of the Havenholt Constitution. This genealogical legacy bestowed upon Queen Levinson a legitimacy steeped in tradition and imbued her ascension with a sense of continuity and stability.

Moreover, Queen Levinson's ascent to the throne was not merely a consequence of her esteemed lineage but a testament to her own prowess and leadership acumen. Prior to her coronation, she had distinguished herself as a formidable leader, spearheading the colonization efforts on the island that would later be known as COUNTRY NAME. Her proven track record of governance and her unwavering commitment to the welfare of her people endeared her to both the nobility and the common folk, ensuring her seamless transition to the pinnacle of power.

With the scepter firmly grasped in her hand, Queen Johanna Levinson ushered in an era of unprecedented stability and prosperity for Regalis. The crown, symbolizing the sovereignty and authority of the monarchy, followed a matrilineal descent, passing from queen to the first-born daughter in a tradition steeped in symbolism and continuity.

Yet, amidst the trappings of regal authority, Regalis underwent another profound metamorphosis, shedding the cocoon of isolationism to emerge as a beacon of peace and enlightenment in a world rent asunder by strife and discord. No longer content to remain ensconced within the confines of its borders, Regalis extended its hand in friendship and cooperation, serving as a benevolent arbiter of diplomacy and a paragon of tolerance and understanding.

In the tapestry of international relations, Regalis stood as a bastion of harmony, fostering healthy relationships with nations far and wide, save for the perennial thorn in its side, Drakova. Despite its efforts at reconciliation, the specter of old animosities and grievances continued to cast a shadow over the diplomatic landscape, impeding the realization of a lasting peace between the two erstwhile adversaries.

Yet, even amidst the tumult of geopolitical tensions, Regalis remained steadfast in its commitment to the principles of justice, equality, and fraternity, ensuring that its hallowed shores remained a sanctuary for all who sought solace and safety. As the winds of change continued to buffet the world, Regalis stood as an indomitable beacon of hope, a legacy it intends to hold onto for as long as it stands.

Queen Eleanora the Peacekeeper, the current monarch of Regalis, assumed the throne at the tender age of sixteen, following the untimely passing of her mother, the former Queen of Regalis. Despite her youth, she swiftly earned her title through adept diplomacy, reflecting the country's longstanding commitment to peace. Queen Eleanora's diplomatic efforts have strengthened Regalis's ties with other nations, embodying the realm's enduring aspirations for harmony and cooperation. Her reign stands as a testament to Regalis's dedication to peace and stability.

Aedoris

Overview: Aedoris, under the reign of King Evald IV, stands as a nation distinguished by its prowess in industrialism, technological innovation, and arms manufacturing.

map of aedoris

Trade: Aedoris primarily exports weaponry and manufactured goods.

History: Centuries ago, Aedoris was a land of fertile valleys and rugged mountains, inhabited by disparate tribes and factions. The many groups the made up the region were in constant conflict that was further fueled by the inability to understand one another. Amidst this, a priest named Aedon emerged. Aedon took it upon himself to learn from each group in the region and learn parts of their languages and cultures. With this knowledge, Aedon was able to unite the tribes under a single banner through diplomacy and strategic alliances, laying the groundwork for what would become the constitutional monarchy of Aedoris with Aedon being the first in the line of kings.

With stability came prosperity, and Aedoris rapidly began to flourish as the people came to understand one another and share their discoveries. With time, Aedoris became a center for technological innovation and industrial development. Blessed with abundant natural resources and a skilled workforce, Aedoris became renowned for its advancements in machinery, engineering, and arms manufacturing. As the nation industrialized, its influence expanded across the continent. Aedoris became a key player in regional politics and economics, leveraging its technological prowess to forge alliances and secure trade routes.

At a pivotal moment in Aedoris' history, a proposal for a royal marriage between the heirs of Aedoris and Regalis emerged. The union promised to unite two powerful nations and create a formidable alliance in an increasingly turbulent world. Negotiations between the two kingdoms commenced, but tensions arose over the terms of the agreement. While both sides saw the potential benefits of the merger, they struggled to reconcile their differences in governance, economic policies, and territorial ambitions. Despite extensive diplomatic efforts, an agreement could not be reached. The proposed merger ultimately collapsed, leaving both nations to pursue their paths independently.

In the aftermath of the failed merger, Aedoris doubled down on its commitment to industrialism and technological innovation. The setback served as a catalyst for renewed focus and investment in research and development. However, a competitor quickly arose as one of Regalis' colonies, what would become the nation of Speidon, began to quickly advance their technology which posed a threat to Aedoris' industry.

Faced with the rising technological prowess of Speidon, Aedoris recognized the need to maintain its competitive edge. The nation embarked on an ambitious initiative to bolster its research and development capabilities, investing heavily in education, infrastructure, and scientific exploration. Additionally, Aedoris heavily collaborated with other nations to corner the market in a strategic attempt to drive Speidon towards failure. However, attempts failed due to Regalis' international influence and their heavy support of Speidon. To supplement the places in which Aedoris lost business due to the rise of Speidon, the country invested in further developing their production of weaponry and manufactured goods.

In modern times, Aedoris and Speidon still continue to compete and as a result of this, there has been numerous technological discoveries over the past decades that have continued to reshape life as it is known. Their relationship continues to remain tense, but it has grown to be somewhat healthier as time has went on.

Mosen

Overview: Mosen is a diplomatic and neutral country known for being the peacekeepers of the world. Led by President Mara Solis, the nation specializes in agriculture as well as making advances in renewable energy research.

Map of Mosen

Trade: Mosen is the primary exporter of agricultural goods and renewable energy technology. They often import pharmaceutical supplies and mechanical parts and tools to help aid in advancing their domestic industries.

History: The nation of Mosen, despite being so pacifistic in modern times, was born out of a revolution.

In the mid-1500s, Drakova and Regalis engaged in an intense rivalry for territorial expansion and resource dominance. Among the coveted territories was the land that would eventually become the nation of Mosen, which Drakova reached first in its quest for expansion.

However, the Mosens, with their longstanding presence in the region and distinct society, fiercely resisted Drakova's advances. Despite the language barrier and cultural differences, they refused to relinquish their land and autonomy.

Driven by their military superiority and advanced technology, Drakovic forces gradually imposed control over Mosen territory. Over the following 12 years of occupation, the Mosen people learned much from their Drakovic occupiers, absorbing knowledge and tactics that would later be instrumental in their revolution.

When simmering discontent finally erupted into a full-scale revolution, the Mosens utilized the strategies and alliances they had gleaned from Drakovic soldiers. These insights, shared perhaps too freely by overconfident occupiers, proved invaluable in challenging Drakova's dominance.

Led by charismatic figures and fueled by a fervent desire for freedom, the revolutionaries employed a mix of guerrilla tactics, strategic partnerships, and grassroots mobilization. The conflict drew widespread attention, sparking international intrigue and attracting support from neighboring nations.

Despite facing daunting odds and fierce resistance, the Mosen revolutionaries persevered, propelled by their unwavering commitment to reclaiming their homeland and preserving their cultural identity. Their resilience inspired solidarity and aid both within and beyond Mosen's borders.

In the end, after years of sacrifice and struggle, the revolution succeeded in toppling Drakova's oppressive regime. With newfound sovereignty, Mosen embarked on a journey of self-governance, determined to forge its own path toward peace, prosperity, and independence.

Mosen leaders vowed to do better for their people after being ruled over by tyrants for far too long. With the new technology and information they learned from the Drakovic's occupation, they improved their agricultural practices as they worked to grow into a stronger nation that could support and defend themselves and eventually help others.

From then to the modern day, Mosen consistently invested in new technology to expedite and improve agricultural practices. They quickly grew their population and army as well as international influence. They became a far-reaching beacon of peace and support.

Drakova

Overview: Drakova is a high-control, isolationist nation run by Generalissimo Kael Vostok.

map of drakova

Trade: Drakova's trade is extremely limited to essential or strategic trades. They commonly export minerals and often import food, equipment, and weaponry only as needed.

History: Most of what is known comes from external resources. The official history of Drakonia is highly limited.

Drakova, established approximately half a century after Regalis, holds the distinction of being the second oldest nation. Its origins trace back to the aftermath of cattle theft incidents that led to the exile of certain individuals by Regalis.

Over the years, Drakova's reputation has been marred by incidents such as the arrest of a Drakovic for the assassination of Regalis's former president and the involvement of Drakovics in religious terrorism in Tavares.

In 1913, a group of primarily young Drakovics, driven by dire living conditions, sought refuge on Mosen's shores. Their plight garnered attention when they spoke to the media about the hardships in Drakova before mysteriously disappearing within the year.

In 1946, Drakova faced a major setback due to a devastating earthquake that disrupted its resource extraction operations. In response, the nation issued an appeal to world leaders for assistance.

In contemporary times, Drakova has initiated a program allowing individuals to relocate to the nation. However, this program is rigorous and demanding of what it asks from its applicants.

Harlowe

Overview: Harlowe, a maritime nation led by Archon Lyra Tidesinger, thrives on its expertise in fishing and maritime trade, exerting a profound influence along coastal routes and beyond.

map of harlowe

Trade: Harlowe primarily exports fish.

History: The nation of Harlowe was born from the tumultuous embrace of the sea, its genesis shrouded in the mists of maritime legend. Legend tells of the ill-fated voyage of the Aurora's Grace, a majestic vessel that, amidst a raging tempest, foundered upon the jagged rocks of an uncharted isle. From the wreckage emerged survivors, resilient souls whose indomitable spirit would shape the destiny of a nation. Led by the unwavering determination of the Aurora's captain, Alexandros Contea, these survivors forged a new home from the salt and sand, laying the foundations of Harlowe amidst the wreckage of despair.

As the population burgeoned and the nation advanced, city-states dotted the expansive coastline, each becoming a beacon of Harlowean culture and prosperity. Once again, Harlowe embraced its maritime heritage, skillfully navigating trade routes and earning renown across the seas. Stepping boldly into the realm of transmarine transportation, Harlowe's ships traversed distant waters, ferrying goods acquired from foreign shores. In doing so, the nation not only forged closer ties with other lands but also solidified its status as a flourishing hub of commerce.

Harlowe's pivotal role in establishing dependable trade routes across the globe ushered in the Golden Age of Trade, a period of unparalleled prosperity and cultural exchange. As Harlowean vessels plied the seas, laden with the nation's coveted goods, they not only enriched their own coffers but also garnered commissions for facilitating commerce between distant shores. Through this symbiotic relationship, Harlowe opened doors to treasures previously unknown to other nations while fulfilling their essential needs. It was a transformative era marked by unprecedented connectivity, as nations bridged the gaps between them and entered into a new era of communication and collaboration.

Despite the various conflicts of the time, Harlowean vessels enjoyed a remarkable degree of freedom in foreign waters. Foreign nations frequently granted passage to Harlowean ships, some even hoisting Harlowean flags, albeit with subtle distinctions that discerned true Harlowean vessels from impostors. Nevertheless, even these "imposter" ships were seldom subjected to scrutiny, as disrupting Harlowean trade routes posed dire consequences for economies reliant on Harlowe's maritime prowess. Many nations found themselves at a disadvantage, having neglected to develop their own sea brigades, thus relying heavily on the uninterrupted flow of goods facilitated by Harlowean vessels.

As centuries passed, Harlowe's influence continued to wax, its city-states evolving into bustling metropolises that dotted the coast like jewels adorning a crown. The nation's maritime dominance only strengthened, its fleets expanding and its trade networks weaving ever more intricate webs across the seas.

In the wake of technological revolutions propelled by Aedoris and Speidon, Harlowe embraced innovation with fervor, pioneering advancements in shipbuilding, navigation, and commerce. The nation's shipyards churned out vessels of unparalleled speed and efficiency, while its navigators charted new courses to far-flung lands previously beyond reach.

However, the winds of change brought new challenges. Emerging geopolitical tensions and rivalries threatened to disrupt the delicate balance of Harlowe's maritime empire. In response, the nation bolstered its naval defenses, modernizing its fleet and fortifying its coastal defenses to safeguard its interests against external threats.

Yet, even amidst the turmoil of the modern era, Harlowe remained a beacon of stability and prosperity. Its cities teemed with life and activity, its markets brimming with goods from every corner of the globe. The nation's cultural heritage endured, its traditions of exploration and discovery inspiring new generations to chart their own courses across the vast expanse of the Great Sea.

Speidon

Overview: Speidon is the world's leading nation when it comes to technology and research. Led by Chief Innovator Bbernard Twiggan, Speidon boasts consistent innovations that continue to alter life as it is known.

map of speidon

Trade: Speidon primarily exports technology, whether it's mass-produced or commissioned work for a foreign individual or organization.

History: Speidon is one of the younger nations of the world, born out of the desire for innovation.

Speidon's story begins with Cartre Collier, a young man who adored his orange, fat, greedy, and clumsy cat named Speidon, after a character from a book Cartre had read. Cartre, born in Regalis during the nation's transition to a Hereditary Monarchy, grew frustrated with the lack of change in his homeland due to its hubris.

Seeking a new life away from stagnation, Cartre became a miner in a remote community. However, his long working hours left Speidon hungry until his return. Initially, Cartre kept the food bowl full, but Speidon overate, becoming sickly. Cartre refused to return to scheduled feedings, fearing to upset his beloved cat.

Inspiration struck Cartre while watching a conveyor belt at work. He conceived the idea of an automatic cat feeder—a storage container delivering food via a chute into a bowl. After numerous trials, Cartre linked the feeder to a clock, allowing food to drop at specific times. Thus, he ensured Speidon's regular meals, even in his absence.

Cartre continued to improve this design outside of his work and finally produced a perfected design that he could easily manufacture. Sharing the design with others in the small mining town, he quickly became the talk of the town. Gaining money from his invention, he decided to take his work outside of the small mining town. He traveled all around Regalis with Speidon at his side, selling his product, and he made quite the fortune. Eventually, word of Cartre's work reached the ears of the Queen who invited Cartre to a meeting with her.

During the meeting, the Queen praised Cartre's innovation, surprising him. Despite facing criticism during his travels, Cartre's potential was recognized, leading to a crucial mission: journeying to a distant colony facing multifaceted challenges. With his innovative mindset and problem-solving skills, Cartre embarked on the journey to make a meaningful impact.

Within the colony, Cartre's visionary approach quickly gained him widespread admiration. Through transformative initiatives, he propelled the colony forward, addressing issues ranging from resource management to social cohesion. Recognizing his remarkable leadership, Cartre was inadvertently promoted to colony leader.

The Queen, impressed by the colony's progress, praised Cartre during her regular visits. The colony, once lagging behind, now rivaled Regalis itself. Talks of independence emerged, fueled by aspirations for true innovation unhindered by Regalis rule. Cartre addressed these concerns with the Queen, who agreed to allow the colony's independence without conflict under certain conditions.

This marked the birth of a new nation, led by Cartre Collier, whose journey from miner to national leader spanned nine remarkable years. Cartre's beloved cat, aging alongside him, played a significant role in this journey. Thus, when naming the new nation, Cartre chose "Speidon" in honor of his faithful companion.

Speidon swiftly flourished, expanding its territory and attracting settlers drawn to its achievements. Cartre, eschewing the title of President, was hailed as the "Chief Innovator" for his transformative contributions to the once-colony-now-country.

Following the passing of Cartre and his cherished companion Speidon, the tradition of appointing Chief Innovators endured, celebrating those who epitomized outstanding leadership and ingenuity. Over time, the nation surged ahead, emerging as a global technology leader and a formidable force, fortified by both its assets and strategic alliances.

Tavares

Overview: Tavares, a Theocratic Republic under the leadership of High Priestess Seraphine Lumina, thrives on the interplay of spirituality and governance. With a robust economy built on cultural exports, pharmaceuticals, and pilgrimage tourism, its military is devoted to defense in alignment with deeply held moral convictions that guide them in their relations with others.

map of tavares

Trade: Tavares primarily exports both holistic and allopathic pharmaceuticals to all. They also export religious texts and various paraphernalia as Marcinism is a major religion that exists in many parts of the world. Tavares's main import is technology that is used to more effectively craft cures. They also occasionally import food and drink as well as defense weaponry and tech ahead of religious holidays that bring about many foreigners.

History: Tavares's early history intertwines closely with The Book of Marcin, the religious scripture that forms the cornerstone of its cultural identity. While not verified by historians, its significance in shaping the ethos of Tavaren society cannot be understated. According to ancient lore, in the primordial mists of creation, Tavares emerged as the chosen sanctuary of Anjel Marcin, the Eternal Guide, and an integral part of a greater, enigmatic Creator. Blessed with bountiful earth and celestial favor, it became a realm where mortal and divine seamlessly coexisted. Anjel Marcin bestowed upon her people The Book of Marcin, a beacon of wisdom illuminating the path of righteousness. United in faith, Tavarens flourished, safeguarding their sacred land as custodians of peace and enlightenment across generations.

Yet, this utopian vision faced challenges as Tavares traversed epochs of growth and transformation. In its formative years, external threats tested the resilience of its people and the depth of their devotion to Anjel Marcin's teachings. Nevertheless, under her guidance, they endured, emerging stronger in their faith. With the passage of centuries, Tavares evolved into a bastion of spiritual enlightenment, drawing pilgrims from distant lands in search of solace and divine connection. However, this influx of visitors also brought forth dissenting voices, driven by ignorance and malice, who sought to disrupt the sanctity of Tavaren rituals and gatherings.

Despite efforts to foster understanding and dialogue, these hostile acts escalated over time, culminating in the unthinkable desecration of Tavares's most revered temple. This sacrilegious act shattered the nation's sense of security, prompting a shift from diplomacy to vigilance. Tavares, once open and welcoming, now fortified its borders, prioritizing the protection of its sacred sites and the preservation of its divine heritage. The memory of past transgressions lingers, shaping attitudes towards outsiders, even as Tavares remains a beacon of spiritual pilgrimage in the modern world. While non-Tavaren Marcinites are still permitted to undertake their sacred journey, the scars of past betrayals serve as a cautionary tale, reminding all of the fragility of faith in the face of adversity.

Miner

Welcome to the Miner's Guide! As a trade job, you can enter the mining trade at the university. Ensure that you wish to become a miner - as you will be unable to switch trade jobs for at least 48 hours after becoming a miner.

Exploring the Mines

Here are the various locations in the mines that you can access as you advance in your trade job. Once you have unlocked access to the mine, you will need to travel through an NPC usually located at the bottom/end of the mine. This may involve navigating or using parkour to get to the next level.

Access Mine Level
Everyone    1 - Starting Mine
Level 2 Miner   2 - Blazing Depths
Level 3 Miner    3 - Jungle Adventure
Level 4 Miner   4 - Enderman's Cave
Level 5 Miner   5 - Gold Rush
Level 6 Miner  6 - Withering Debris
Level 7 Miner   7 - Polar Directions
Level 8 Miner 8 - Treasure Trove

Dungeon Battles

When exploring the mines, be careful! Part of your job as a miner is to battle the mobs you encounter in the mines. These are more advanced than the typical vanilla mobs, as some have higher levels and can cause greater damage. From jungle zombies to angry polar bears, there are many aggressive entities you will have to defend yourself from.

Regenerative Mines

You may soon find out that excavating ore on CityRP is different from vanilla Minecraft. In the mines, chunks of ore are scattered around the cave and visible to everyone. When you break blocks in the mine, it turns to bedrock temporarily. After an extended period of time, the ores and blocks will regenerate so you can always return later if you run out of materials to mine.

Player Level System

Miners can improve their level by completing quests related to your job. As you advance your levels, you will be able to travel to new locations in the mines. Throughout your quests, you will interact with a range of various NPC characters. This includes an eager advisor, Alex, who is the first character you will interact with.
